Kind
So many paths that wind and wind
When just the art of being kind
Is all this sad world needs.

Happy Mothers' Day

Each year on Mothers' Day, I take a photo of my three lovelies to give to my Mum. This is today's effort. It's funny to look at the changes over the last five years - click here.

Royal Easter Show

How I love the Royal Easter Show!
We have a routine that we follow each year... Hall Of Industries for the food samples and the produce displays, cakes (both decorated and nude), woodchopping, dogs, cats, horses, cows, chickens, pigs, goats, packed lunch, showbags, and then home. But still each year we discover something new.

The sad game
Blame
Keeps the sad game going.
It keeps stealing all your wealth -
Giving it to an imbecile with
No financial skills.
Dear one,

Art

We went into the city on the train today to see the Archibald, Wynne & Sulman prizes at the Art Gallery of NSW. As great as it was, I ended up being more inspired by the ArtExpress exhibition of HSC works - the level of expertise and creativity from those students is mind-blowing.
No shots from the exhibitions - snapped this one on the way back to the train.

Hearts

For years, I've wanted to have some long-narrow fabric pennants in my garden. I tried to find a pattern to sew them and make the curved poles online. I tried to find places that sold them. Nothing.
Then the other day, driving along the Northern beaches, I passed a shop that had dozens of them out the front - more than could possibly be needed just for decoration. Turns out they had them for sale in three sizes, and a rainbow of colours.
We now have three colourful pennants in the front garden - one for each child. Each of them has one of these hearts dangling from the top.
